The PhD Colloquium 2022 took place on Wednesday 21st September in Cottbus, Germany as part of the works of the 16th CIGAR Workshop.

The colloquium was chaired by Giuseppe Grossi and Pawan Adhikari and comprised 5 PhD project presentations by students from Italy, Norway and United Kingdom. The projects focussed on participatory budgeting, IPSAS-based accounting reforms in emerging economies, non-financial/sustainability reporting and public sector auditing. Each of them was discussed by an experienced CIGAR scholar. Presentations by Tobias Polzer, Elaine Stewart and Hans-Jürgen Bruns provided PhD students with precious insights into the comparative research method and in doing literature reviews.
